Description: Alright, I’m leaving so if you need to get hold of me I’ve got my phone so just message me ok? What, message you as in send you a text? I’m not doing that … texting is so ‘last century’. Well, WhatsApp me then Mr ‘down with the peeps’ smartphone guy. I’m bored with WhatsApp, everyone uses it and it’s just not cool anymore. I have Facebook, how about Facebook messaging me? Eww Facebook … that’s a ‘ladies’ app. Oh really! Well does your cool Tumblr app have messaging in it? I think not. Okay you got me there.
Alright you choose one then. Okay how about Snapchat? No, I want to message you not get some random pic that disappears in 10 seconds. Umm Line? Nah! good app but it’s got a dumb name. Viber? Hugley popular and very purple, but what were they thinking when they called it that? Were they watching Boogie Nights or something? What about that yellow looking messaging app that’s big in Asia? Umm what’s it called … ah yes Kakapo? You mean Kakao, Kakapo is an endangered species of bird from New Zealand. Anyway Kakao reminds me of WhatsApp which brings us full circle again. The only other one I can think of is Tango. Umm no, we are both dudes, we don’t Tango.
Well then ‘dude’ I’m going now so you’ll just have to text me. Or maybe I could BBM you? BBMe? That’s a Blackberry app. It was a Blackberry app but in the dying days of the company they finally got one thing right and released the best messaging app by far for iPhone and Android users. Didn’t they use Blackberry messaging during those riots in England? Yip the messages were encrypted and untraceable. Well that sounds both intriguing and interesting, let’s go with that one. Isn’t that just saying the same thing twice? Yes, so lets call it a draw and declare the winner to the app that we know nothing about but has the coolest name by far.
Sweet BBMe! Oh and you do realise out of all the messaging apps to choose from we ended up going with the ‘last century’ one :)
